Golden Girlz NC is a longer term strategy to secure and develop a site for a multigenerational, multi-racial, black feminist intentional community centered on the support of our LGBTQIA+ elders.
Soul Sanctuary encompasses the land based work of Golden Girlz.
What Guides Us
Golden Girlz seeks to cultivate leadership, promote healthy livelihoods, address resource gaps in housing for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals of varied economic means, and encourage structural change towards a resilient and self-sustaining community.
To create a more equitable, just, and nurturing world where BIPOC and LGBTQ+ people of all income levels can live and thrive in the communities they transform.
We believe all people should have a safe, affordable place to live. We believe access to housing is health. We believe access to working lands and healthy food is a right. We believe in equitable stewardship of homeownership, land, and resources. We believe in partnerships that leverage resources and expand capacity to achieve our vision.
